Sure it's ok... We already live together and before we moved in we both lived on our own, so we have tons of stuff. We still ended up registering at two places. We originally just decided on BB&B, but ran over to Fortunoff just to check something out and well...I fell in LOVE with dishes, etc. over there. So, we're at both. We were also deciding on whether or not to register for our honeymoon, but I think we have decided not to do that now.
I know many who have registered at 4 & 5 places even!

It's absolutley ok. We registered at Fortunoff, bed bath and beyond and Macys. It gives people more options.

It's fine- in fact, I think it makes it easier for people. I have three, I was thinking about doing more, but I think that would be overkill (at least for me).

Sure it's okay. We registered at BB&B and at Fortunoffs. The combination of the two places had pretty much everything we needed so I don't see you needing a 3rd place but, if you do, it's fine. It gives your guests more options of where to shop, especially OOTers since Fortunoff's probably can't be found there.

I'm registered at both Fortunoff & Bed, Bath & Beyond. In addition to having more choices, it is easier for out of town folks to buy @ BB&B since they're a nationwide chain and Fortunoff is not.

yeah- we did Macys' Fortunoff and BBB

I think FOrtunoffs was the best... Macys suc** and BBB was ok.... I should have just stuck to Fortunoffs but not everyone lives near one...

Me and my FI are in the same boat - lived together 10 years already - so we're just replacing things and adding some new things that we've wanted and we wound up registering at Bed Bath and Beyond and Macys
