Is it okay to give BM gifts early?

Is it okay to give BM gifts early?

So i was thinking of getting my BMs a cashmere sweater as their BM gift. They're both from wealthier families and so they have all the Coach, Louis, pearls, Tiffany's, etc. They also have no need for personalized totes and stuff from Things Remembered.

But my wedding is in April so it MAY be too warm for cashmere but since last year was chilly, it's possible that they could wear them. So I thought I'd give it to them for Christmas so they have time to wear them. Then I would make them a keepsake like a shadow box or something and give them that at the RD.

What do you think? Do you have any other suggestions?

When are you getting married - April? I am getting married in March and planning to give them the gifts in Februay at the bridal shower... I think it would be fine to give it to them earlier but I might consider it in January February if I were you and not for the holidays... just my opinion... like over lunch or something.
