I really love Westbury manor and the prices are amazing for thursday night. it was either thursday or saturday afternoon. Do you think people will come wil it be too inconveient for people. its not a party wedding its more like a formal dinner kind of receptin?

It's really up to you and what you can afford. We have 6 weddings next year and 2 of them are on a Thursday. Its kinda a pain trying to get off of work but the people you really want there and that really care will be there no matter what.

And lately, Thursday is becoming the new Saturday for weddings.

i wouldnt be to excited about a thurs wedding to be honest with you but thats bc i hate to go to work tired and i go to sleep at 10 - however, i would still go!! so if thats what you can afford and would rather than a sat day then go for it! the impt ppl will be there!

Honestly, I don't know if I would RSVP yes to a wedding on a thursday if it wasn't family.

I would rather have more people there to celebrate with me and change the hall than love the hall and have lots of people not come.

I'm a Sat afternoon bride due to budget too. So I understand what you are going through, but I think more people will show on a weekend.

i'd prefer an evening wedding to a day wedding anyday....would be a pain to have to rush there after work...but it might also convince me to try and get friday off.

From what i have been reading and hearing from people. it looks like thursday is not an optimal day to have a wedding. Hmm i will let you guys know what happens.

thanks again for the advice keep them coming!!!

IMO I felt like crap doing it on a Friday...I wouldn't do it on a Thursday too much pressure on guests. I would

A-look for another hall that is in your budget

B-Negotiate

Expect a lot of nos for a thursday. We went to one bc it was family and they had over a 50% no rate!

Im not gonna lie. It was annoying. I had to leave work early. We missed the ceremony and ch.

Im not a fan of work day weddings. Fris are hard for us too.

If you can swing sat do it! I love wm btw.
