i sometimes think he doesnt listen when i speak. like for example, all week ive been telling him that today we're going to:
pick up wedding badns in the city pick up invitations in howard beach go for dancing lessons at 6 and go to dinner with friends at 8
umm does he remember anything? Yea only the wedding bands and invites.... i go to him ,,, hurry up cuz we gotta be back by 6 for dancing lessons... and hes like whattttt? great!!! im likea yeah and then after DL we 're going to dinner.... hes like with who? why didnt you tell me? ok i told him about 3 times since wed. What is wrong with men sometimes? Can someone please tell me?

my family has always called it 'selective hearing' if you're going to give men a list of things, break it up... tell them 2 things at one time. then wait a bit and tell him 2 more.
it's funny but it seems to work. FH and my dad and brothers all seem to 'tune me out' after the second or third thing on a list.

I totally understand. I tell my FH to do certain things, then i email a list of the things i told him to do. thennn he goes oh i didnt remember you saying anything. i tell him don't you check your email?...he goes oh yea i read it and then saved it.
So yeahh i totally understand what your saying

you gave him too much info all at once. i always give FH the full list once and when he saids 'whats next' i say one thing at a time and it seems to help. lol

I'll up you one......FH had a conversation with me 2 days ago about going out tonight....and today I call him to ask what time we're supposed to go out.....and he completely doesn't remember having the conversation.............it wasn't even something I told him....it was something he told me!

LOL!!!!!!!! I agree with the 'Selective hearing' comment!!!
For example:
12 pm - Drop of DJ payment (Not heard) 1:30 pm - Go to Sports Authority (Heard loud and clear!) 3:00 pm - Drop off RH payment (Totally oblivious) 4:00 pm - Pick out Bridesmaids gift (like I wasn't even in the room) 5:00 pm - Pick out Groomsmen gifts (He was all over that!!!)
Completely selective!!!

well FH is like that and when i see he starts grumbling i just tell him one of his so aunties that he dislikes so much called n said she ll be visiting so am buying time so she doesnt met us home .I always regret though cuz he never wants to go back home until a certain hour that hes sure she wont be there waiting which of course by then all the task has been completed and i just want to get home and relax . I feel your pain

OMG !! My FH & yours must me related. do you know how many times i have to remind him of stuff... funny thing is if its something regarding his hobbies like sports or cars he remembers..

LOL I'm a teacher and I can tell you that this is a real gender difference. Boys are more likely to tune teachers out.

Wow you have the most amazing FH. Mine would say: 'Um, no YOU'RE picking up the invites and rings and what's this about dance lessons? You must be out of your mind.' Ha ha!
Think of it that way, there are a lot worse grooms out there. But you are right, they do not hear. Someone told me once that men only hear 25% of what a woman says.
My FH has no idea what's going on really with the details of our wedding. I think he feels his job is to enjoy his 4-day weekend bach party in Boston and then make sure he shows up on the day of our wedding.
