Re: Is it possible
Are you getting married in a church? If so, I would consider skipping the flowers altogether. Most churches are beautiful enough themselves.
My priest also suggested, since we have a wedding before ours, that we coordinate and see if we can split the cost of altar arrangements and then have them for both ceremonies.
In short, it's possible, but it'll be tough. What kind of floral CPs are you considering?

I spent under $1000 on my flowers. You could tell, but it didn't matter to me. I got vases myself and just had roses. 12 CPs (they were low and very simple) and I didn't get a toss bouquet. Only had 2 BMs. It totally depends on what you want. I used the ceremony flowers for the reception as well.
I didn't get separate bouquets for the mothers -- they just carried single roses.

Hi jilliibabii - yes i am having it at the church... The church is plain, but it doesn't matter to me... In terms of CP - no idea, something that would cost alot. I was considering DIY CP's...
hi chrisandjeanne - that not bad, do you happen to have the florist your fsil went with?

I only ask because, of course, the price varies depending on what you wanted to do. I think DIY is a great idea, too, if you have the time, creativity and help!
I also wouldn't worry too much about flowers for the head table. We're going to be using our BM's bo-ks as decor for the head table!

I hope so!!!!!
I love flowers but don't want to spend a lot on them, I would rather spend that money somewhere else.
We are planning on using lots of candles as well, and using very low centerpieces.
There is also a lot you can do yourself. My mom wants to look into buying flowers wholesale and possibly putting centerpieces together ourselves. Don't know if this is something we will be able to do but we are definitely going to look into it!
Not sure if this is something that you would be interested in, but I went to a wedding where the flowers were fake. They were really pretty and I didn't even know they were fake until I touched them! Might be something you want to look into.

I sure hope so! I don't want to spend more than $500 on flowers if possible! I plan on doing a mix of candles & floating flowers in vases for CP's I'm going to start pricing them now and hope that i can save some $$ by incorporating the candles instead.

Re: Is it possible
So quick question to those who are doing or considering DIY center pieces. Who is suppose to transport them to the RH and set them up? Sorry if its a stupid question.

Re: Is it possible
i think you can if you go with a local florist rather than a big name one... and if you dont use flowers at church and do low CP's...

I also agree with skipping the flowers in the church.
