Is it possible to go to Hawaii for Hm.....

For around 5 or 6 K? I hope so....i willing to stay at a lower grade hotel not too low thought....Let me know what u girls think?

Hey!! I actaully just went and put the deposit down on my honeymoon today!!! We're doing a 7 day crusie to Hawaii (4 different islands) and staying 2 extra nights at the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu....for $5000 (including insurance). So it is definately do able!!! If you want to know where I booked it just let me know and I'll fm you!!!

From what I've seen in prices it really depends on how many islands you want to go to.

But a cruise sounds like an awesome idea!

Yes it is possible! You won't be able to stay at the top end hotels, but you can stay somewhere nice still.

FH and I did the NCL cruise to the 4 Hawaiian islands in March '06 and stayed one day in Waikiki Beach and it was WAY less than $5000. March is kinda off season though, and we had to book an inside cabin because everything else was sold out, but it was still an amazing trip and we got a taste of all of Hawaii. We're considering going back for our Honeymoon - maybe just Maui or Maui and another island.

Yes, definitely! We'll be in Oahu for 3 nights, Maui for 5 and then stopping over in Vegas for 2 nights (not sure how much that impacts the prices). We are staying at the Sheraton on both islands. I told my TA what I wanted to spend and she made it work!

Yes it's possible. We did. We went to Maui & Kauai for 10 days. We stayed at the Hyatt on both islands (which are gorgeous) and that is a 5 star hotel. This also included air. Let me know if you want more info.

I think the price depends more on the length of time you stay in Hawaii as a whole. The interisland flights are rather inexpensive.

I think you can have a very nice honeymoon in Hawaii for that price range.

I think you definitely can. Just keep in mind that things in Hawaii are SO expensive (i.e. food, activities,etc). FH and I were there 3 years ago and we were SHOCKED by the cost of food (and we live in Manhattan, not many costs surprise us!)

Yes, I think it is. It all depends on what and how many islands you go to and the hotel and how long you stay. Nothing in Hawaii is all-inclusive though, so you'll be spending a fortune on food & drinks.
I, however, never heard of anyone going to Hawaii and spending less than $10,000 on average.
Go for it though! I'm sure you can great deals all over the web and even travel agencies!

We used an airline credit card to pay for as many items as we could for the wedding. We also paid off the credit card every month to avoid debt Using the airline card allowed us to generate miles so our tickets to Hawaii were free!! Also, look into a VRBO instead of a high end hotel. We rented a condo in Kauai instead of paying $300 per night for a hotel. HTH

I spent less than 10k on my honeymoon and were there for 17 nights and went to 4 islands!

I think you have to plan well and prioritize what is important. I didn't want a luxury ocean front suite for every island and every hotel. How much time am I spending in the hotel anyway? We had an all-out amazing hotel on one island and rented a condo on another island.

We rented our cars through Hotwire.com and got convertables on some islands but a regular car for Honolulu.

Also, we didn't use guided tours. We purchased the guidebooks before we went to Hawaii and drove ourselves around. We didn't want to pay someone to show us where to go, we figured it out ourselves and it was FUN.

In the end, prioritize, be creative, and have a great time!

Also, check out reviews of 'lower' hotels on Tripadvisor.com. It is a great website once you have a list of hotels you are interested in.

My mommy is going to Hawaii right after my wedding for 2,700 per person... for I think 10 days. So I think its possible.

I just called her... she is going for 10 Days, and 4 islands... She is going through AAA. She also told me it is 2,700 with airfare.
