Is it possible to have a dress dyed a different color?
I have a dress that I like the fit of, but I wanted to get it dyed black. Is that even possible?

What color is it now? I never heard of doing that but anything is possible these days. Maybe you can find a dress and fit similar in black. A while ago someone else asked the same question. Try doing a google search for 'dress dying' and see what you can find if you really love this dress

It really depends on the fabric composition. If it's cotton I would recommend procion fiber reactive dyes. I dye my own fabric for quilting and the colors are very vibrant and last much longer than RIT dyes.
If it's a natural fiber, you can do it yourself pretty easily, a synthetic fiber is more difficult and can produce unpredictable results.
