is it possible to make your own STD magnets?

is it possible to make your own STD magnets?

We had ordered 100 post cards from Vista print, and when I showed them to FH today because I wanted to start the addressing, he decides to tell me

'I kinda like the magnets. I mean, everyone can use magnets'

So I am trying to decide between paying for some pre-made, or trying to make my own.

Anyone who has tried this, any advice on what to do and where to look for things?

i made my own...i got the business cards from vistaprint and then went to staples and got the magnets with the sticky papaer you peel off..seriously-it was super easy to do. I attached them to these postcard type things with rubber cement ( so the people getting them could take them off with no mess) the postcards i got from a store called seasons ( you could get them at a stationary store) and they were like 20 cards for a dollar.

I made mine! The design is in my album

I made the design in photoshop, and FH works at a college so he had duplicating print them out there with high quality ink and paper. Next we got self-adhesive magnet sheets from Michaels (they are called Adhes-a-mag or something like that) and we simply stuck em on and used a razor cutter to cut them out! Everyone thought they were SOO cute and thought we spent a lot on them, when they actually probably cost us about $30 bc we were sending a lot out and the magnet sheets are about $10 each. Look for coupons!

I did all my STD magnets and cards myself.
The magnets were made from an Avery template in word and then printed on magnet photo paper. The cards were done in word and printed on ivory cardstock. I used ivory envelopes from Staples sealed with our monogram seals which were printed on Staples brand sticker paper on an Avery sticker template. It took me about a week to complete it all (working on it from time to time)

Looking back now - I probably would have just ordered them from a company and not made it a DIY. The magnet photo paper caused some issues with my printer because of how the paper feeds - it tended to jam or misfeed all the time - but I worked thru it!
