your parents introduced into the RH? My FH parents are divorced and my mom is embarrassed to come out by herself. Is it ok not to have them introduced??

We are having our parents introduced. My parents are together and FH's mom is divorced. We are having one of his cousins escort her in.

Re: Is it standard to have.....
you can do whatever you want!
FH parents are divorced so we are having his nephew walk out with him mom and his neice walk out with his dad.
If you have someone that can walk your mom out that ask her if she would be okay with that. If not, then I dont think you have to have her introduced that way. Some people don't like to be the center of attention so I can understand her not wanting to walk out alone.

Re: Is it standard to have.....
we're not even introducing ourselves our wedding is so small, it seems ridiculous to us to have a grand entrance...
to resolve this issue, why not introduce everyone individually, instead of as couples? (unless there are too many people for this..)

Re: Is it standard to have.....
I am not introducing any parents at the RH. My mom didn't want to walk in alone (dad just passed away) and I wasn't going to ask her to do anything she didn't want to do.
It is completely up to you.

Re: Is it standard to have.....
I was not doing it because FH's mom passed away when I met him & His dad is not around ( a recent thing, he was around when FH was growing up. his parents were together, but things changed after his m other passed). I didn't want to make FH feel bad that his parents won't be there. But now I re thinking it because my parents recently to us that they will be paying for the RH completely, so now I feel like the will want to be & deserve to introduced. I just need to talk FH he is OK with it. I am sure he will be, but he gets kind of emotional when it comes to his parents.

I'm in the same situtation, FH's father died a long time ago and he doesn't speak to his Mom, his Grandparents raised him, so there really isn't any body to introduce for FH
And as far as me, well my parents are divorced and my dad and step-mom are paying for the reception,so I feel that they should be introduced...
I posted about this yesterday...FH said he is fine w/ whatever I decide.
