i think it is a little close. I mean if you are going to be going to a shower for this bride and then the wedding.. it is a lot of stress on the pocket so close. (if they are expecting gifts).
We were engaged for christmas and had our eparty 3 months later.. then still had a year and half to the wedding.

Im pretty sure they are only having the eparty to collect some cash. Plus i found out the bride is expecting. So not only will there be an eparty, bridal shower, wedding but now also a baby shower all within 8 months.

I had to do the same thing for another couple I know a few years ago. it was almost as if every other month for almost around 8 months we had: eparty his bday and her bday joint party bridal shower baby shower wedding It was really hard on the friends and family who were to attend all of it.
