It's not like I don't have any friends or my family isn't gonna throw one..but I don't want to burden anyone. I just want everyone to celebrate with me and not feel obligated.

I'd like to throw my own just because I have a lot of good ideas from looking at girls' showers on here! I know my mom and older sister will do a good job though!

I know exactly how you feel! I'm the type of person who feels guilty whenever anyone does anything for me.
But guess what?! You have a whole WEDDING to plan...you deserve one day to be spoiled and have all the work done for you..enjoy it!!

I would love to throw my own shower. I told the girls I dont want anything big, in the backyard, where to get the favors, etc....

I am the same way but im sure that you will be stressed out with your other wedding tasks that it will probably be better to sit this one out and let someone else do it for you.

I don't think it is weird...I find it hard to let go and let someone else plan mine...you get so invested in planning everything that I think I want to plan mine or at least have input into mine....but I do trust my MOH...she knows how picking I can get.
