We are moving after the wedding, and family keeps talking about pics we will send them and videos. We can't afford either, and someone suggested registering for them.
I feel like this might be tacky, but I don't know...perhaps we will just use wedding money to buy them!
Input?
Thanks ladies!

Re: Is it tacky
No, not tacky--I registered for one. I do not expect to get it but I hope to. My old camera is barely functioning and I wish I had a better way to capture my engaged days. FH has a digital but I don't really use his.
I did not register for a lot of other high priced items, so it's not like someone looks at my registry and wonders what I was thinking.

I dont think it is tacky at all. Perhaps, your bridal party may chip in and buy it for you. Or maybe your work friends, or siblings-in-law as a group. I think we bought my brother a TV (albeit a HUGE TV) when he got married. It is a great gift for a wealthy relative or group of people to give!

Why would it be tacky?? Do you really need 3 knife blocks??? Register for what you need and want of course!!

I don't think its tacky. If people don't want to buy it, they don't have to
No way! Besides most places give you 10% off of the things that arent bought so if no one gets it for you, you get a sale!

Re: Is it tacky
My family actually told me i wasn't registered for ENOUGH expensive items! haha...so i told them if they wanted to chip in for something like a camcorder then that would be great...and they did! I guess families like to do that sometimes, so even if you think something is too expensive, it works out better for them as a group gift option. I say register for whatever the heck you want and don't worry about it. Whether you have too much or too little on there, someone will have something negative to say about - so i've just stopped worrying about what people think.

oh ladies! Now I feel silly for even having asked! Of course it's not tacky (and even if it was - screw em!)
