to have a gemstone ring that bigger then my E-ring... i love this antique style sapphaire ring that i want for my birthday but its so mcuh bigger then my e-ring.. will it look tacky?

i was thinking about wearing it.. but the girls dresses are the blue topaz color. so im worried the sapphire wont match.. but blue is one of my most fav. colors and i dont own anything like it so im really loving the 1st one!
