is it tacky to send e-mail to frineds not invited

We were close to a lot of people a few years ago when we were active in a youth group. For obvious reasons only a select few are invited to the wedding. is it tacky to send them an e-mail announcing that we are finally getting married?

Those not invited probably already know you're getting married from the ones who are invited.

I wouldn't send the email now - what I did was send one after the wedding to people not invited just letting them know our new address, email, etc.

It just sounds a little awkward to send an e-mail. I think you could them send wedding announcements after the wedding with a short note.

I plan on sending a Christmas card with a wedding photo in it to let people know. I figure if I don't talk to them that often, I can add it to my note at Christmas.

Girl, when Chago got married he sent us all an email as did Tania so I would do it. The J's will understand! I am doing it too!!!

Send it to me, I wanna come to the mass as well!
