Well after looking at 24 places we finally booked a place, Flower Field. This was the very first hall that I looked at. It was a little on the pricy side so we were looking for other places. We finally decided to book it for Sept. 2. We are putting the deposit down tomorrow. I'm a teacher and won't be able to do honeymoon right away. I absolutely love it there. Should I go through with it?

I had my engagement party at flowerfield.. though it is pricey, it is worth every penny!! My guests LOVED the food and the atmosphere..
I read your post during an ADD moment, i thought you were just asking about FF! LOL
I dont think you HAVE to go on the honeymoon immediatly following the wedding? Go whenever you can!

Sure. Why not? You can always book your honeymoon during the holiday season. Maybe during winter break you can get away to someplace nice and warm. I believe it is cheaper in the winter months as well.

We're choosing to do our honeymoon later, maybe in January time. We might do a minimoon right after the wedding, like a long weekend somewhere...

if you really want to have your HM right afterwards, maybe you can move your wedding up to the summer months? ifnot, go for Sept. and then plan the HM for one of your breaks or the following summer

I work in a school as well and we were originally going for October but then I realized we would have to wait till summer break to go on our honeymoon and I didnt want to do that.
If you are willing to take your honeymoon during one of the breaks or summer then I say go for it!

Sure. You don't have to take your HM right away. Lots of people wait a little while after the wedding to take it. FH and I actually won't be taking our official HM until January 2012 because we are going to Europe for his cousins wedding in July and I won't have very many vacation days after that.
