My date is 8/10/2007 and I didn't want to to STDs. But then I thought about summer vacation and planning and changed my mind. Would it be to late to get them done and out this week?

It's totally up to you, but you can also send out the invitations early if you're worried and don't have time to do STD's.

I suggest sending the invites early. I was going to do STDs but decided to save the money and get nicer invites and send them out sooner. I'm sure if you send them by early June/ late May, summer plans won't be set in stone yet..

I have the same problem! My mom said since our date falls on labor day weekend that I have no choice! So we're sending them anyway.... I guess even if they have them a couple months before invitations it's better than nothing!
I say do what you want - it's your wedding!

My FH ordered them and got them in a week and paid $20 for Rush delivery. I don't think it's too late, but I would do it now if your gonna do it! He doesn't remember th website but there are plenty out there.

I'd send them now - most of the people I know plan out their vacations early in the year because of other obligations (either at work, with their kids, etc etc). So I say it's better to let them know now.
I just did my STD's as postcards with Vistaprint and they came out really nice. I ordered them last Thursday, they arrived on Tuesday, and I mailed them out on Wednesday (V-day). So you can definitely have them mailed out by next week.
Also, we did a postcard (front and back) so that we didn't have to stuff any envelopes - saves some time - and, it turned out, saved $ on postage b/c when I went to buy stamps, they told me I only needed the $.24 stamps instead of $.39.
