Is it too early to start looking at wedding dresses? I figured I'd start after the holidays. I just want to get the dress I've always dreamed of......

Nope! I started looking about 3-4 weeks ago and I ordered mine last week!! It's so much fun!

I went to Lillette's, Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, and RK Bridal.
I also had difficulty locating samples of 2 gowns I NEEDED to try on...so I made one trip to a store in NJ to try on one dress and another trip to a store in CT to try on the dress I have obsessed over for months! The trips were definitely worth it because I ended up ordering the dress I tried on in CT!!

awwww thanks!! I have like 30 dresses that I want to look at from a particular designer who I LOVE!!!
I heard bridal reflections is a good place! I'll have to take a trip out there!

absolutely not. I have gone dress shopping about 4 times now, but i don't plan on actually ordering my dress until I am about a year out because
1) My mom is paying for it and that's when she says we'll order it.
2) I want to wait until the new line is out in stores and I can hopefully try on the majoirty of dresses I have on my very long list
3) I wanna get my a$$ in shape before I order my dress and the lady takes the initial measurements.

I have been looking since the engagement!! I looked at Bridal Reflections, Bridal Suite of Bayshore, Designers Loft and Cymbiline. Believe it or not I found a perfect dress at David's Bridal!!!!!!! At first I had mixed feelings about getting it from there but the dress is beautiful and the price is great, I am ordering it this weekend!

Yeah apparantly Sophia Tolli used to be a part of Maggie Sottero but then broke away and started their own line. A lot of similar styles.
Also my FSIL was originally looking at Maggie's but then found Enzoani Blue line and fell in love and that's the line she wound up ordering from. You should check Enzoani as well. Beautiful dresses!
