I am not sure if I want to do it now and get it over with or wait until next year. Any suggestions?

It's never too early in my opinion. Check with your church and see when you can do it.

Our church called us and they have one that's starting tonight... but FH has a hockey game and apparently that's more important.
We still have over a year though so I'm not too worried yet.

it depends on your church... mine said do it as soon as possible.... there was one for april-june (now) but it was full so we are doing sept-october and then getting married in july.... ask your priest or church... i would have loved to have started already just to get it over with

It depends on your church and how often they have them. One of the couples that did it with us was getting married in two weeks! They do not do it that often at my church.
Plus, it was nice to check something else off the list
