Never to early. I didn't want to register until around 6-9 months before the wedding. Fh's family made us do it right away. It was great doing it in the beginning a lot of people wanted to buy us stuff off our registry.
We already registered about a month ago!!! I just keep checking it every now and then in case something gets discontinued, and if it does, I'll just replace it with something else!
we registered about a week after we got engaged. which was about 11 months beforehand. people were asking us where we were registered within hours of our engagement....
I don't think so at all! Actually people are bugging me to start one so they can get us stuff. I just think other things are more important in our planning right now.
We registered right after we got engaged and were given many things for the holidays last year. A few things were discontinued, but we just updated them online.
Bedding and linens tend to become discontinued. You can register for everything else and add on bedding afterwards (closer to when you may have a shower) unless you know for sure that someone will buy it for you right away. We were engaged about 6 months ago and registered for everything BUT bedding and linens until last month. I assumed that a shower will take place within 2 or three months from now (though one should NEVER assume - don't get me started) so someone MIGHT get it.
Not too early. People started asking me where I was register, about two days after I got engaged.
