I already ordered my dress, and now have decided that I want cups sewn in. Can I have that done after the dress arrives (like at my first fitting?) The lady at the bridal shop said I should wear a strapless bra, but a friend of mine wore the same gown and said get cups sewn in because the bra will show through. Can I still have that done?

Contact the bridal shop. How long ago did you order? Maybe the seamstress could do it when it arrives.

I'm sure it's fine. I have had many bridesmaid dresses with cups sewn in during alterations. I don't know if you even can order dresses with the cups sewn in - I'm pretty sure they would have to be done during alterations. That's what I'm planning on doing! Good Luck!

I have my dress already and I am having cups sewn in at my first fitting. You can do this.

Re: Is it too late...
I had cups sewn into my dress during one of my last fittings...
As it turned out, the shop I used had run out of the bra I wanted and then suggested it just be easier to sew in cups instead...
I think it was a lot more comfortable with them sewn it so it worked out great!

Yes, the bridal shop can definitely do it during your fittings.
