Is it too late, too close to the date to put a bridal party together?? We didnt want a big bridal party to begin with because I guess it involves a lot more and more $$$ and we are paying for everything out of our own pocket, though we would like one..But it all adds up, flowers, rehearsal dinner, etc. We now only have bride, groom, best man, moh, ring bearer & flower girl. So our Best Man came over tonite and he wants us to have a bridal party so he said he wants to pay for the Rehearsal Dinner if we want to...If we did it would be about 10-12 more people....But I only have less than 3 months....Should I or not???

i vote no...it may be a lot more stress very close to your wedding date...do you really need the extra stress?
plus, the bridesmaids may not have enough time to order dresses

i vote no as well....especially with that amount of additional people. it might be hard to get everyone to order their dresses/get fitted for their tuxes in time. Plus, if you're concerned about $, you're right...it does add up.....bouquets, gifts, etc.
Maybe include them in your wedding some other way and get bouts/corsages for them so people know they're a special person in the wedding

What I would do first is look for the dress you want ASAP and see how long to get htem. That would be the only reason why I would say no b/c my girls dresses took 6 months to come in. Other wise why not! They help out and are not more $ b/c they pay for their clothes. Good luck!

a girl I know got married three months after she got engaged last year. (i still don't know how she did it!)
but she was able to have a bridal party, and quite a few in it, actually! i know she got her bm dresses from davids bridal. maybe you can get them off the rack?
i vote yes too.... you may regret it down the road. it's pretty much the norm now for everyone to pay for their attire themselves.

I would worry about getting the girls dresses in on time and altered correctly. My girls took a while... I don't think you NEED a BP but they are fun to have- having your closest friends be a major part of your special day is fun! But obv it's totally your call- if you feel that it would add a lot to your special day then you can always make it work- go to a store where they sell a lot of dresses and see if you can find some in the same shade that they already have at the store- or ask places if there is a certain style that is easier to order that may come in quicker. GL!!

i would say if this is something you want then go for it, but if you are happy with what you have then keep it that way

its not too late to do tuxes, and you can get BM dresses off the rack (like at bloomingdales or ann taylor) or at a place like davids bridal. or, just have everyone wear a black dress.
you dont want to have any regrets so do what will make you happy
edit: do what you want though, not what the best man wants

I say call your dress shop and ask, also be careful of the expenses for the girls on such short notice.. By the way, the is very nice and extremly generous of you BM
