I am having a dilemma. I picked a dress from David's Bridal because I thought it would be convenient for my out of town bridesmaids. I went though a lot of BS with my FSIL over the dress, but she's finally ordered it. My problem is that David's Bridal has been a pain in the a** to work with and they won't place the order until everyone has ordered their dress. Right now only two have out of seven. I found an After Six dress that I love and would to switch too. Also, I got my gown through RK Bridal, and with the discount, the After Six dresses come out much cheaper. Is it too late to switch? I'm having second thoughts. Thanks!

I don't think it's too late to switch--I ordered my BM dresses 6 months prior to the wedding and they came in only after 2 months. Your wedding is in August so I think you'd have plenty of time! I say--go for it!!

If you can match the exact color and may be fabric I would say go for it, already two of your BM have their dresses. Are all wearing different models of the same color? That is what I am doing

I don't think it is too late. I ordered 6 After Six/Dessy dresses from RK Bridal (no-frills) and they were all rec'd in less than three months. One came in a month!! RK is prety easy to work with! I say if David's is giving you issues that go to RK.
Will anyone lose any money from David's? If not defintitely switch to RK.

I think you have enough time...
But FYI: the place that my girls got their dresses from waited for each girl to get measured before placing the order. They do this in order to get the dresses from the same dye lot.

A couple of people have ordered the dress, but nobody has been charged for it. Here's the After Six dress I like which is $40 cheaper than the David's Bridal dress I picked.

A word of caution....my MBs ordered Dessy Dresses from Bridal Reflections and they did not place the order until they received the deposits and measurements ( two of my girls live out of town) of all the girls. They do this so that all of the dresses come from the same dye-lot. Although you are ordering the same color, if the dresses are ordered separately they may come from different dye-lots and the colors may be slightly off.

You definitely have enough time. Go for it! I ordered my wedding gown 4 months before my wedding and it was in way ahead of time.
