I still have 7 months.. some people have told me it should be between 12-10 mos. Think its too late now? I already ordered them

i have been meaning to send them out for monrhts and I never did :(
so i sent StD email reminders out in May, i was told 6 months before. i think it was good becuse i knew who i was inviting more than i did 12 months before (when i wasnt even engaged!)

No, it's not too late, I sent mine out 6 months before. I was afraid that if I sent them out 1 year ahead that people would forget , this way, it's fresh in their minds! We also included a wedding website w/ accomodations, times of events,things to do, etc... Go For It!!!

We sent our STD's out 6 months before the wedding. I think you have plenty of time.

Not at all!! I sent mine out sometime between 6 - 7 mos before.

I didn't start planning my wedding until 9 months before the date and I sent out STD's about 8 months before. DH loved the idea of STD magnets so I was on board!!
ETA: And your date over the President's weekend? I'd think it'd be a good idea. In the middle of summer people are probably not planning for the winter holiday weekend but I think it would be a good heads up!

I got an STD 4 months before a wedding. You can send them out whenever you want. Its your wedding!

No you ordered them and paid for them send them, guests collect everything.
