Hi 2005 Brides??? Is it too soon to go dress shopping for me and for my bridal party?? I am getting married May 05 that's 13 months away...I am scared that my tatse will change or that I will do everything too soon and the time will drag.....what do you all think?

No, not at all. I have heard that it can take anywhere from as much as 8-12 months for you dress to come in! I would definitely start now. I am getting married 11/05 and I plan on starting to look in September

I don't think it's too early. I ordered mine in the beginning of March. Just remember, when you find The One stop looking!!!! Good luck and have fun (it really is fun)

i am getting married in 13 months at the end of april (the day before you )and i have ordered my dress... they said 8 months i am going for BM dresses as soon as i have time in the next couple of weeks

I'm getting married a week after you and I'm going for my dress in May (just looking on the internet for now)
and for my BM dresses- I plan on going in September- I'd go during the summer- but a lot of them will be on vaca's ....

I don't think it's too early. I ordered mine, and picked out the girls dresses. We'll start ordering theirs in July of this year. I want everything done early.

I felt the same way too.. I really didn't plan to find my dress as fast as I did. I was just checking out different designer websites when I came across La Sposa. The dress that caught my eye was not even a full length picture of it. I had to find it, which was a struggle, so I could see the whole dress. I loved it without even seeing the bottom of it. My point is to start looking just for the fun of it. You may come across the dress of your dreams. P.S. I had no intentions of finding a dress like the one I did. It was nothing like I had imagined. Have a great time!!!

I'm going to try to order my dress this Monday - and my wedding isn't until September 2005. I actually want to try to buy it now but order later on - maybe September if that's possible. They are having a trunk show and I know for sure that this is THE dress.

You'll be surprised at how much they actually don't change. I know I was totally shocked by this, and then I ended up with a gown from the 02 season anyway
I say go early because depending on the dress you want, it can take a really long time to get in. My dress is hand made and hand embroidered and takes almost a year to get in Plus, you might not find 'the' dress right away, and you want to have enough time to look around at your own pace without feeling rushed. Maybe start casually looking around, and if you order it now, the bridal salon will store it for you if it comes in early.

Def not too early. My mom and I went out looking last month and found the dress of my dreams right away. When you know, you just know, and if you don't order it you'll just keep thinking about it anyway!

It's definitely not too soon! I got mine early b/c I got a good deal and I didn't want to risk it getting discontinued. I absolutely love it and couldn't see myself in any other dress. :o)

NO I DONT THINK ITS TOO SOON. I AM GOING TO START THIS MONTH. MY WEDDING IS JULY 30TH 2005. SO I AM LOOKING EARLY TOO. BUT I PROBABLY WONT FIND ONE FOR A WHILE. ITS BETTER TO START EARLY, THEN TO START LATE.
