To mail my invites? I really don't want to deal with the BS of hunting down people for yes or no's. The wedding is 10/28 - is it too soon?
TIA

Re: Is it too soon...
I think it's fine...we sent ours out end of APril for JUly 9 wedding and STILL had to hunt people down (and I still never heard from two people after numerous emails and phone calls!)

Re: Is it too soon...
I'm getting married the weekend after you.
I’m planning on mailing mine out the 3rd week of August.
It’s a matter of preference though.

Re: Is it too soon...
For our July 30th wedding we mailed ours early May... I thought ours was early but it worked out well (we had an early response date..which gave us more TIME to hunt people down!)

That is my hubby's birthday too, a Friday!
I do not think it's too soon to send them out.

I'm 77. Nah, doesn't make you a horrible wife - I've no clue when my FH was born.

Re: Is it too soon...
I'm printing my church direction cards, one-by-one , at the office. If I get them done during the course of my work day today, then I'll be set to mail the invites by tomorrow or Thursday. My goal is to have people receive them by the first week of August.

here's a tip that I am sharing with you.
I have learned (thanks to LIW!!) that it's better to mail them out at the beginning of the week. I have seen some posts on here that some family members got the invite on a Saturday and then since there's no mail on Sunday, there was commotion on whether or not other family members were invited.
After reading those posts I decided to mail mine out on a Monday - even though I sent out STD's so everyone knows they're invited.
