I'm getting married April 08. I ordered my dress and have a pretty good idea of how I want my hair. I read on those wedding checklists to do trials 5 months before, but don't want to wait too long b/c I know the good people get booked quick. Any thoughts? TIA!

Not really if you want to book someone very popular like Mia. It is up to you. Could be one thing checked off your list.

Wow, now I am nervous. Where is Mia located? I have heard great things about her. I have PITA hair and need someone GOOD.

You should start now. I started 6 months prior and a lot of vendors were booked!

As long as you aren't planning on changing your hair style much befor the wedding then you should be good. I did my hair trial 3 months before and the makeup about 2 months before, but I just got lucky with my vendors.

I booked based on a recommendation but have my trial in Oct/Nov. I am easy going so I'm not worried!

Re: Is it too soon for hair/makeup trials?
def. start now cause some of the more popular makeup/hair ppl get booked EARLY.
I used Jacqueline Nicole for makeup and she was amazing
Sarah & Bridge Rock were my hair girls...again, HIGHLY recommend

Re: Is it too soon for hair/makeup trials?
it's never too soon!!! :) your better off going WAY early and booking with someone you LOVE, than waiting and having someone be booked..... i would book now and then when the wedding's really close do a trial again to make sure the person who's doing you remembers what they're doing! lol. but no, it's not to soon! :)

It is fine to go now. I had my trial about 10 months before the wedding.

It's def not too early, those checklists aren't 100% for everyone, they're just a guideline. Do you have your veil and headpiece yet? Some hair stylists won't do trials unless you have those first, so they can see how to work them in.

No go for it!! Better now cuz things get more stressful later. The more you get done now the happier you will be down the road!!!1

Check out her site and I think email is the best way to get in touch with her. The site is B R I D A L L O U NG E .com Just no spaces...LIW blocks out her site.

Re: Is it too soon for hair/makeup trials?
i 'reserved' my date for hair and makeup one year before
and i am going for my trial about 7 months before
i am the type of person that once i decide something - i never look back. . .so it was an easy choice for me!

I think if you know what you want and have your veil and other accessories then go for it...the sooner the better before they get booked up!
