Is it tradition...

for the parents to buy their future dauther/son in laws a personal gift for the e-party??

for example, my parents got my BIL a set of really nice cuff links and gave it to him at his and my sisters e-party.....

is this traditional or is this maybe just a Greek thing????

i dunno...

my parents paid for the entire party, the invites, the favors, the thank yous, the decorations, etc...which ran over $2500.

also, prior to the party, they had given us a living room full of engagement presents!! LOL

my mom found out FH bought a ring in January of 08 (and he didnt propose til december) so she said she'd started buying gifts as soon as she knew he bought a ring!! so technically they'd already bought & gave us e-gifts 3 months before the e-party

My mom bought FH something off our registry that he wanted, because she felt bad. She bought me my Swarovski champagne flutes and said that even though they're for both of us, she knows they're really for me, lol, so she bought him something else on his own.

My dad bought us a combined gift, and FIL's bought us a semi-combined gift......it was my pots and pans, so it was technically for both of us, but only I use it
