Is it true...Florist question?????

I wanted my bouquet to have just a simple tie around the stems, but my florist said to wrap all the stems bc they may 'bleed' onto your dress???? I never heard of that...Did that ever happen to anyone??

What are you doing????

My florist said that almost never happens but I'd rather be safe than sorry so I'm having them wrapped all the way down.

Goodness! My florist didn't say anything to me about that, mine are wrapped 3/4

Maybe it depends on the flower if they have sap or milk...

Did this go for roses too?

it really depends on the flower you are using - some flowers do indeed bleed especially when warmed by your hand over an extended period of time -
trust your florist - they are right here

If there is any bleeding on my fiancee's dress there will many people hurt. She has the wuick temper. I'm the patient one. Hhehehehehee. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone. See that's what the forums are for so we can share the little things that may impact us disasterously.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Best Wishes,

Thomas

I had my bo-k wrapped only half way down and it did not bleed at all. I had all roses so maybe it's dependant on what type of flowers you have.

I had stems showing in my friend's wedding. That did not happen. I think if you had dyed flowers that would happen.

YES! It is true! It happened to my cousin!

But, she was able to cover up the stain with baby powder. And, the whole stain thing caused us to be 30 min late for the ceremony

i guess it is better to be safe than sorry...I just think it looks nicer not all the way covered..

Yes my florist told me the same, we're using white silk hand tied but on the inside the flowers will have a plastic piece around them to hold any moisture in as well

Even if there is only a slight risk of this happening, why take the chance? Imagine how upset you would be if your dress got stained. I had all of my bouquets completely wrapped.
