To have bach party and shower in the same month? ISnt that alot to ask of people so close together? My bach party, is going to be weekend of Aug 12th. Wedding is Oct 9th. So I assume my shower should be somewhere in the middle. Alot of girls are having theirs 2 mo before, so even tho im not planning either, im stressed thinking about it!

If you give them enough of a heads up so they can plan financially, I don't think it's a big deal at all.

im having mine a week apart the shower is the 28th of Aug and the bach party is labor day weekend. its just the way it worked out i dont think its weird at all. especially if most of the people are local and traveling isnt an issue.

My bachelorette is labor day weekend and I have a prettyyyyyyyyy good feeling that my shower will be the August 27th so the week before. eh eh eh eh

I think it might be a bit of an imposition on some guests who are struggling with finances.
My shower is in June and my bach party is in Aug, wedding is in Sept.
I just know right off the bat that I can't expect anyone other than my MOH and FSIL and my closest besties to come to both....
If that does happen, that they do fall so close together, I'd make people feel more comfortable by saying that I totally udnerstand if they can only make it to one outing and not the other...

As Ashley said, I figure that if enough notice is given, it really won't be too much of a problem. If they are planning on coming to both, the cost will be the same either way AND invites for the shower will go out at least a month and a half before it actually happens. I made sure that my sister told all of the girls coming to the bachelorette about the shower date so that they are aware. I'm sure you will be fine! Don't stress!

I wouldn't say it's weird... BUT Honestly being a guest I would rather it be spread out a bit. I was invited to an upcoming Bachelorette party and Bridal shower which are back to back Saturdays (1 week apart). I am not going to the bridal shower because of other plans... but when I saw they were only 1 week apart I wasn't really thrilled to spend 2 saturdays in a row like that. Sorry.. its just MHO. Also might be feeling like that because she is not a close friend, just a casual aquantence. If it were close family or friend, I probably would not care as much. I am also booked with wedding events for 4 other weddings this summer.... MADNESS!!!

I kind of agree with this. I personally have some friends in the restaurant and medical field so its not that easy for them to get off whatever weekends they would like. So I was sure to tell my mom and sister to schedule the shower a couple months prior to the Bach party just so it would be easier for those people to get off both days.

Since I have 3 BMs (including my MOH) OOT, I am planning to do the bachlorette party the same weekend as the shower, if all my BMs are up for it. I hope so I would love them all to be there for both!

I've actually gone to two OOT ones where the Shower was in the afternoon and the Bach was at night!
I don't think it is a huge deal at all with proper warning
