Is it wrong....

Is it wrong....

for me not to want FH to go to Vegas for his Bachelor party?
His brother has been non existent as a best man and then today calls to suggest they go to Vegas for his bach party for a weekend.
Generally I wouldn't mind but neither of us has ever been to Vegas and I guess I though it was something that we would get to do together.
Plus they would be going the last weekend in September which is the weekend we would probably have been celebrating out 7 year anniversary(as it falls on that Monday)
Fist off I don't understand why they had to wait until such last minute to plan something (fh didn't even think he was going to have one at this point and really didn't seem to care) and secondly why it needs to be a whole weekend halfway across the country? For my bach party the girls and I went into the city to party and then came home so its not like I had this giant party and don't want him to have one I just wish they had picked something closer to home at least or stuck to a day trip like paintball like they had first discussed long ago.
He told me if I don't want him to go he won't but I feel bad telling him no.
Am I wrong to feel this way?

Sorry so long
Thanks for letting me vent

I don't think it's wrong to feel that way at all. Please, our bach parties are tomorrow night and I don't want FH to go to his, and he's staying on the Island!! I would want to experience Vegas for the first time together as well so maybe you can bring that up to FH?

I don't think that it's wrong for you to feel that way. No one can help how they feel.

That being said, I would think about how important this is to you. Even if your FH goes to Vegas now, you can always go there together next year or the following year. I know it won't be a 'first' for both of you then, but how important is that to you?

In general, my experience has been that many girls have a smaller local one than the guys. This has been the case for almost all of my friends. I would LOVE to go to Vegas or Miami for mine, but that won't happen for me because I find my guys friends are much more likely to spend the money than the ladies (in my case, not making a blanket statement about BMs

Personally, I would let him go have fun with his friends. I wouldn't want FH to miss this opportunity. Having it close to your anniversary stinks, but your wedding isn't too far after that, and you can always celebrate another weekend.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Your not wrong at all. If I was in your position th main reason 'd be annoyed is b/c of the short notice and it is your Anniversery weekend.
But me personally, would not ask FH to not go, I don't want to be the girl who doesn't let her fiance go and if they want to go all out for FH I wouldn't mine. I'd be annoyed about the short noic for sure though!

No you are not wrong. It is understandable that you would like to go together for the first time. I would just sit and talk with him to see what he thinks.

i dont think you are wrong.....FH and I already discussed this and there is no way either one of us is going away for the bachelor/bachelorette parties.....first off its a vacation that the two of us could have been going on (lol), its an added expense - there is no way that FH's friends/family are going to pay for every aspect of his weekend in Vegas - air, hotel, drinks, food, gambling, clubs, etc., and to be honest i dont think its necessary.....

HOLD ON...
See I'd be mad if this was thrown at me spur of the moment as it was to you. But if he is paying for it I'd say no way but generally with bachelor parties or bachelorette parties it should be the BP/GM treat (that's how I have always done it with my friends).
But maybe suggest they take FH to Miami or somewhere else so you and Fh cango away to Vegas together rather him with the fellas?

In conclusion I see nothign wrong with FH goign away for his B-Party but compromises can be made

Ok well FH listened to what I had to say and that combined with him realizing that we still have final vendor meetings and a lot of other things to do in these next few weeks that going away like that is not really possible.
So they will pick something more local and as a compromise we may try to go at the end of the year and see if his brother (BM) and whoever else wants to come along.

Thanks everyone for listening and for your support!
