I have having MAJOR drama right now! My dad's cousin and his wife divorced a few years back after he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant and hid his son for 2 years. Before they divorced he was a jerk and him and my dad had a falling out for a bit. They fixed things and are talking again but my mom and me and his ex wife and her daughter are close they come to all bday parties for my kids and parties and I haven't seen my dads cousin in a while! My dad said its wrong to not put guest on his invitation but she said she wont go if he bring the mistress( she used another mean word which I agree with lol)
Soooo anyway is it wrong to tell him not to bring her so everyone can come or is that not my place and she has to deal with it?

Re: Is it wrong?
nope, i wouldn't give him a guest. he cheated on his wife and got someone else knocked up- he is the last person who should assume that normal etiquette should or would apply to him. If he makes a stink about it...well sc rew him LOL

honestly, I think you're going to have to **** it up and put him with a guest and hope he has enough good sense not to bring the wh0re.
it is a cousin, I don't feel like you have a choice.

Do you really need to invite him? Seems like you'd savw everyone a lot of grief if you didnt.

Re: Is it wrong?
screw that I would totally not give him a guest. If he brings her, all it's going to cause it tremendous drama at your wedding between your dad's cousin and the ex that you are still close with. Screw etiquette on this one... i say NO

Re: Is it wrong?
Unfortunately, I think you should invite him with a guest if you are going to invite him at all. It really isn't your situation to deal with. I understand never wanting to talk with him again because of his actions, but if you are choosing to keep him in your life after he made these choices, then you have to accept them. You don't have to agree with them, but you have to accept them.
Hopefully, he will not bring his new partner, but you can't be sure. However if you are going to invite him at all then you have to invite him with a guest. It is up to him to make the right decision and up to his ex wife to not make a scene. This wedding should be about you and not their drama.

Thats a tough situation.. I understand where you are coming from because you havent seen or talked to him in a while but are close with her..It might be the right thing to do to invite him and a guest however I would not want any Drama being caused on your special day! If it were me I would just put his name.. if he wants to bring her he will prob call to ask why his invite only has him on it and at the point maybe it can be explained to him that you are stressing over it and nervous of the outcome of them all being at the wedding together. See what he says to all that?...Hopefully he will be understanding about it... Hope this helps you

ABSOLUTELY NOT- i've been taking notes from the b*i*tches and bridezillas i know.. and its your day and it should be your way!! Screw proper ettiquette..
You should not invite him with a guest, because you dont want her there on your day!! You want people you love and care for there and to feel comfortable.. I would tell him there is no way he is allowed to bring her after what he did.. if he comes without her he does, if he doesnt too bad

The B!tch in me agrees 1000000%
Your day. If it would hurt you to not have his ex wife at your wedding more than not having this cousin at your wedding than either don't invite him at all, or just solo.

I agree with the girls that say that he should NOT get a guest. Sorry, proper etiquette is not cheating on your wife, sleezeball.
Honestly, in your shoes, my loyalty lies with his wife since you are closer to her.
If he doesn't come because the poor baby didn't get a guest, even better.

Def don't invite him with a guest! As someone previously said, loyalty is with his wife whom you are closer with. Remember the last thing you need is added drama and not having people you WANT there not show up b/c of his dumb ***. It's YOUR day...screw everyone else!

Re: Is it wrong?
yea if you'd rather sheee come than him, i'd agree and say don't invite him with a guest, and if he chooses not to come oh well. Don't defer her from coming if you want her to be there. And honestly if he asks about it im sure you can say something along the lines of I don't want to cause issues for my other guests.
