that seems a little early. Isnt usually about a month? Bu maybe the sooner the better because it is so hard to get people to rsvp

normally the standard etiquette is invites get mailed 8 weeks out, so I thought it was on the early side. It's your wedding though :)

our rsvp is exactly a month before

We are having a response date of 3/15 (about 45 days before) mailing in mid February.

But do whatever you want. I figure it will give me enough time to harrass people if they don't send it back.

I just figured with the seating arrangements and all the escort cards that it might be best.

well 8 weeks is what i heard is the amount of time, but mid feb is only a couple weeks before that so why the F not !!!! go for it !

I sent out my invites at about 12 weeks in advance and set the RSVP for exactly 1 month before. some ppl already sent responses but a lot will prob wait until dec. 1st .......if i were you set the RSVP about 5-6 wks before the date.

Mine RSVP date is May 1st for my June 18th wedding. I wanted a month and a half to harass people and get seating all in order. Only having a month made me nervous.

i'm planning for a month before, but i agree - if you are worried aim for 5 to 6 weeks before max

that is a little early...I have my rsvp date at June 15th so that's about 6 weeks prior to wedding date - longer than the usual 4 weeks.

i plan on doing this too. a month and a half gives you about two extra weeks- which i'm sure i will need!

Absolutely!!!! Way too early.. I would do last week of March but absolutely nothing before that

I'm the day before you and I put 3/25....

When do you plan on sending them out?

Also, do you have a B-list? My logic was I am hoping to get a bunch of responses back before the rsvp date so that if I end up sending invites out to the B list I dont need to change the rsvp cards.

HTH. And in regards to seating and escort cards, hopefully 4-6 weeks is enough time to get that done. If you're doing DIY escort cards you could try to have them all set and just have to plug in the names..

I am doing mine 6 weeks before I believe. yup - jsut checked - April 2 (we picked that bc its our 9 year anniversary also, so we would remember the rsvp date haha)
Maybe do it March 13 or 20 (6 or 7 weeks before)?? that shoudl still give you time. Trust me - I wanted mine as early as possible too!

keep this in mind too. if you put your rsvp 2 months before your wedding it gives your guests 2 months for 'stuff' to come up. some of your 'yes's' could turn into 'no's', which would make things even more complicated
