Our HM was originally for Tahiti and Bora Bora. Because of flight changes, our trip has been extended and we have the opportunity to also stay at Moorea. The thing is that we think it's a hassle to pack, transfer, and fly.
I was wondering if Moorea is THAT much better or if we should just hang out in Tahiti for a little more time. Everyone seems to think the actual of Tahiti is awful but I'm not sure why. The pictures look gorgeous and it is the largest island in the French Polynesia. There SEEMS to be plenty to keep us occupied.

as i said in the french polynesia thread, YES moorea is THAT much better than tahiti (papeete)
To most, it is a stop over to go on to the other islands.
Who cares if u have to un pack and pack again- it takes only a couple of minutes. u are going all the way over there, u should should experience as much as u can.
We only went to tahiti, moorea and bora bora and we already want to go back to see a few other islands..

we were told by friends to get the hell out of Tahiti asap if possible. It is merely a stop over city. We are doing 1 night tahiti (no way around it), 4 night moorea and 5 nights bora bora

Ooo wow good to know...when i was looking at all the packages i was like why just 1 day in tahiti, i was upset at first.

how many nights are you going for now? we are going for 13 nights and are going to even 1 more island than you...going so far - i don't think it's a hassle at all to pack and unpack...want to see it all! We're doing the 1st night in Tahiti (I find no other reason to stay there longer...it's a dirty city from what I've read and seen)....4 nights Moorea, 5 nights Bora Bora and 3 nights Tahaa! I say def. go to Moorea - don't spend more than a night in Tahiti!

It is definitely worth it to pack up and go to Moorea, you won't regret it!
