Re: is my blackberry gonna work in mexico?
I think you should be able to use it, but you will get charged international calling probably which is SUER expensive! 50 cents a text message and like $3 a minute!!! It's CRAZY!
I wouldn't unlock your phone. If you have a question though call AT&T and tell them that someone from a phone store is giving you this information. OR, just ask them if your phone will work in Mexico.

Ummm, I'm not too sure if you get charged for receiving a text. I know for our HM we're going to turn off my phone and put it in the safe. I have a BB to and it's ALWAYS going off but FH's phone is a regular phone and not too many people are going to text or call him so we'll keep his with us for emergency. Just call AT&T and they will break it down for you. If you think you're phone is going to go off enough see if you can get the international plan just for the month and then change it back. It might be worth it.

Re: is my blackberry gonna work in mexico?
it should work, but you might want to turn off your email/internet, bc that's what can rack it up on a bb
i think for verizon the fees are like .50 an outgoing text, .10 incoming, and 2.00 per min..but you only get charged extra for what you use, not for it being on..
