Is my FM being too stubborn... what to do?? (Kinda long)

My FH has this sick obsession with coming into the Stone Cold Steve Austin 'Theme Song' from his hay-day in the WWE/WWF... Yes ladies, my FH thinks he's Steve Austin... FAN - friggin' - tastic!

If you want to hear it, go to iTunes - in their store search: 'WWE Anthology 2' and find the song 'I Won't Do What You Tell Me' and you'd be able to hear it...

I absolutely hate it... it's so cheesey and no one but two other people at the wedding will understand why he's coming into the song...

I wanted to do: A Little Less Conversation Remix... but he's supposedly 'putting his foot down' on this... but I don't want people to remember glass shattering over and over and over and over and over and ...

WHAT SHOULD I DO... I've given into a LOT - including the color of the dresses and how I'm wearing my hair... he doesn't understand that though... he keeps telling me that I liked it too!!! Now I feel like being vindictive and do what I want without telling him (with my hair AND the music)

Any suggestions???

could you play a little bit of the theme song like while you are being introduced and then walk out to the song you want to...thats what we did with the monday night football theme song

Try the nice approach and tell him that you don't really like it and if he wants it to be played then you can work it in somehow. (I recently went to a wedding and they played jump around when the bride and groom walked in, the part of the song where they say smackin' a ho.) If he still doesn't go for it then simply 'forget' to tell the DJ. If that doesn't work maybe try another song that you can both agree on.

I'd tell him flat out that I'm doing whatever the F**K I want with my hair, just for starters. Then, I'd say, 'You're going to look like a stubborn, controlling, immature a$$ walking in by yourself to Stone Cold's music.'

IDEA!!!!!

Ask him if you can walk into what YOU want at the wedding - and for the VIDEO - ask the videographer to use it at some point!!!!! This way - you get what you want at the wedding and he has it forever on the video!!!!

Oh... well let me tell you!!! Since seeing my post I AM doing whatever the F**K I want with my hair - it was a real reality check seeing what I was thinking... so much so that I got an appointment for Friday for a trial!!! GO ME!!!
As for the music - I SO like the way you think!!!
Maybe if I pout enough around the house - I'll get my way...
Looks like that part of the paperwork got lost in the transmission of the email/fax/whatever!!!

I guess there are good things and bad things to the groom being involved. My FH is still trying to figure out why each specific thing 'needs a song'...

lol that sounds like something my fh would want. he loves wrestling and star wars. why don't you try to compromise? pick something you both like. maybe something that means something to the two of you.

I would kill fh if he wanted to come into a wrestling song. he's lucky if I let the dj play kiss for him.

Oh chica I am in the same boat. My FH has been SUCH a groomzilla, so much I told him I was writing to WE and nominating him for a special. He picked our hall, our DJ, our cake (yes, I said our CAKE), among other things I can't think of right now. Oh, he's pulling up to the wedding in a firetruck, is having a fire department themed ice sculpture, etc etc. He wants to come in to DX's music. I entertained the thought for a while, and just this week as I began finalizing the music, I put my foot down and told him it's a freaking wedding and I refuse to walk in with him to that. He wanted to compromise and use just the beginning of their intro and then have it lead into another song (of his choosing of course) but I said no and we're going with my song. Be strong sweetie. And def do what you want with your hair!
