Postponing their honeymoon for a year? Or r u gonna go right after the wedding?

We have to postpone because Im a teacher and I can't take off work! I ****! If we have any money we may take a weekend to do something little.

Not planning on one, it doesn't fit in the budget

Any money that we do make off our wedding will go into getting our little pup some new hips

I am sooo happy I came across this thread. I just went back to school this semester and won't be done until May of 2012. FH and I want to get married before that and I really wanted to get married in October but because of school we just assumed that no longer was an option basically because we wouldn't be able to take our honeymoon right after the wedding. My mom suggested getting married on Friday of Columbus Day weekend so we could have a mini-moon and then in the summer we could go on a long honeymoon. I thought it was a great idea when I brought it up to FH he looked at me like I had ten heads lol I am glad that there are a bunch of people doing that same exact thing. I am going to make him read this thread hahaha

We want to go soon after the wedding but we are still too early in our planning to see where our funds will be. We want to go to Tahiti and thats $$$$$!

We don't want to wait too long after the wedding because we want to get pregnant and if that happens, we won't be going anywhere for a LOOOOONG time

we're going right after the wedding but only because FILs are paying for it ....if they werent I dont think we'd be able to leave right away you have to do what works best for you

We took a mini moon right after our wedding which was in Sept. We just started planning our real HM for this summer so it will be a couple months shy of our 1 yr. I wanted a Fall wedding eventhough I knew my work schedule wouldn't allow a HM right after (I work in a school). I didn't care and am happy that we still have our HM to look forward to. It also gave us time to save money for it since we didn't plan for it in our original budget...
