I'm trying to figure out tipping and I'm not sure what to do with our RH. In our contract it says +20% service charge. Does that include the gratuity for the maitre 'd? There is no separate line stating gratuity as the original BM filled it out.
How did you handle this?

IME, the service charge is indeed the tip for the waitstaff, but there is an additional 'expected' charge of $3-$5 per person for the maitre d' that is not included in the contract.
We gave it to him on the day of.

CC - the maitre d's tip is NOT included in the 20% the fox hollow adds to your final count. That is extra and should be $3-5 per guest.

From what I understand your bridal attendants aren't included in the 20% service charge either. So you will have to tip them too.

For all of the RH's that we looked at the senvice charge is NOT the gratuity. The serice charge was only for set up and break down. It does not include the wait staff / bartenders or MD's.
Don't hesitate to ask that question specifically of the RH!
