I have never eaten there, but I think it's sooo beautiful! That big dome rome is gorgeous!

I've heard good things about the food - they are also doing renvotions in Jan. 06 (though I don't know what changes they are making).

I don't know how to do a link, but I just bumped a post for you to look at, you can run a search and just put in the word Atlantica, and different threads come up

When I saw pics of the Atlantica when I first got engaged, I knew it was the first reception hall I had to check out . It is really gorgeous!! The pictures don't lie -- you are really out there on the beach, which is great. When you first walk in, I think it's the hotel check-in area. That was a little more beach-y than I thought it would be (wicker/rattan type furniture with a lot of peach and aqua), which isn't bad it just wasn't what I expected (if that makes sense). The ballroom is incredible!! The views are great!!

Pretty much the only reason we decided not to book it is because we really want a summer wedding and we have TONS of OOT guests -- I just had the picture in my head of all our guests sitting in summer Hamptons' traffic trying to get out to the wedding and having to pay $400 a night to stay at a B&B. Since a lot of our friends are coming from very far away, we didn't want them to have such an expense. In September though, I don't think the traffic or prices for hotel rooms would be too bad if that's a consideration. Definitely check it out! I know that AndreaLMT had her wedding there and she had some beautiful pics in her review. Good luck

Of course I am biased because I am having my wedding there but so far my experience has been wonderful. They are so accomodating and very flexible at the Atlantica. They aim to please. I think that it is absolutely beautiful and very beachy. I have been there when it is raining and the views are just gorgeous even in a storm. You really need to go there to experience it, pictures don't do it justice. I think of it as understated elegance. Everything in the room is a pale blue and white, and the view of the water is stunning. But, if you are looking for a standard wedding with the quesadilla bar, the pasta bar, the ice cream bar, the nacho bar, you might be disappointed. The Atlantica doesn't provide the cookie cutter wedding, each one is indivualized to your tastes and they are very willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy, and for me that was very important.

You should definitely go out there and visit. I know some people visited and didn't like what they saw at all, while others visited and fell TOTALLY in love with Atlantica. I hear the food is fabulous, and everyone who I know who has been married there was just thrilled with Atlantica.

I was considering Atlantica, but it was a little too far east for me.

the only renovations they are doing is to the kitchen and the bridal suite. no major changes to the ballroom, etc.
