So the makeup artist I wanted to use is booked on my day
She would have come to my house for day of, done airbrushing & extra lashes all inclusive in the price- $250
Now I'm concidering using a regular makeup artist, no airbrushing, but he would come to me. Price being $225...
I really didn't ask around for prices on makeup so I dont know if this is average pricing or what... Should I find a new airbrush artist or just book the regular make up artist?
Any recs? TIA girls!

go with what you liked best......if you RELALY liked the airbrushing...try and find another one. cause to me there really is a difference in the two and if you like the airbrushing you may not be as happy for the reglar make up.

Post on venodrs helping brides b/c I am sure that a mu artist will come and do airbrush mu for less than that price too...

I never got the airbrushing done, so this might not be much help (is airbrushing more expensive?)
anyways, my MU artist is coming to my house and its $125...

I love airbrush, it looks so perfect in pictures, cant compare it to regular makeup....but do what you feel is right, my airbrush lady is coming to me, she is charging me 250.00, which is a lot of money, so I think, but she is well worth it, it is once in my life I get married, Im going to it!! Good luck on your decision, you have to be the one that is happy with the outcome......

I never had airbrushing done so I don't know anything about the cost for that. I think the price of the regular make-up artist is pretty high. If you really love the airbrush try to book with someone else that can do it.
I used About Face Makeup Studio in East Islip for. The price after seeing what you were quoted was very reasonable for regular makeup.

I agree. I had one trial that was traditional application and one that was airbrush. On my skin, I also noticed a big difference between the two applications, and chose airbrush.

Thats an awful lot of money for regular makeup! Most MU artists will come to you, I would look around...

my make up lady is about 200 and she doesnt come to the house....however she is right in hewlett and i love her so i dont think 225 is that much......especially since they come to the house.....but a lot of people i asked it was around 200

That price seems high to me. My MU artist is $125 for regular and $150 for airbrush and she is coming to my house.

If you liked the airbrush makeup, I'd try to find another. Personally I noticed a difference btw. airbrush and regular and preferred the airbrush.
I'm not sure if you tried contacting Mia of BridalLounge, but I really liked my trial with her. She is $150 for makeup on the day of and will travel to you.

If she's not an option, how about Jacqueline Nicole? I think she's around the same price as Mia and will travel to you too.

Is makeup just for you or for you and your BMs? I'm using Denise from Angel Eyes (LIW vendor) and she charges a lot less than that to come to the house!
