an accurate number (and is anyone aware of what it might be) of how many of our troops are in Iraq?

Re: Is there...
too many....
The solider that was on yesterday's front page of Newsday was someone I knew growing up. As soon as I saw his picture I yelled out...oh my God thats Jimmy...and then one of my co workers told me what had happened. I felt so bad. I remember playing wiffle ball, kick ball, football, man hunt, capture the flag & many more sports and games with him and the kids in the neighborhood.
He is the 1st person that I had known personally that was killed over there....God Bless all our heros fighting for the freedoms that we take for granted.

Re: Is there...
Yes way too many.......
My sister spoke with my nephew on monday and he was telling her a story about how they all thought that their SGT was crazy cause there is another base on the other side on the road and a few of them had to go over there to do or get something and he told them to make sure they took the tank. They laughed cause they were just going across the road but when they were mid way they got fired upon. good thing they were in a tank!!!!!!! He said that the fighting was starting to get really bad where he is and then the next day we start to hear about our men dieing over there. My nevers are shot!!!!!!!!!!!

have you seen that show 'over there'?
It seems so real...I can barely get through watching it without getting upset.

im so sorry for that - horrible. remember, they are wonderful women and men and are doing a wonderful thing for our country and the world.
I can ask my brother if you'd like - he just got back in March. He came in to talk to my students at the end of the year and someone asked him that question - I forgot what he answered though.....
