I'm not sure if there's a 'list' out there but I'm sure we can come up with some ideas for you. Cut and paste girls!

Tables
chairs
tents (ones with sides in case of bad weather)
dance floor

Caterer
servers/bartender
drinks
entertainment

Hi there,

I hope this helps you out. I found this when I thought I might throw a party in my back yard.

Be careful renting everything can cost A LOT. I think the 'WEddings for Dummies' book and 'Bridal BArgains' book devotes a whole chapter to weddings at home. Be careful of your choices because they can run just as much as halls.

You do need to rent:

tent
chairs
tables
linens
dance floor
silverware
glassware
painting touched-up around house
landscaping, possibly planting
caterer must be able to have access to kitchen or have a portable setup
Port-a-potties if over a certain number of guests

Oh, speaking of make sure you have adequate toilet facilites and that the cesspool if applicable has been pumped recently. We don't even want to think of the possibilities.

Plenty of candles...possibly even those citronella ones. Maybe a permit from the town for parking all the cars? I don't know where I read about that but it might be something to look into.

Yes, you definitely have to check with the town. It's best to provide valet parking and park the cars away from the house if there are a lot of other houses around. Also it's good to invite the neighbors considering if they aren't you might be disturbing them. I would at least inform them. Keep in mind sound ordinances... a dj or band would have to end at a particular time depending upon your locality.
