No, there is no meaning behind our wedding date, 3/24/13. We chose March because it was cheaper. We figured the latest date in March, the warmer. ideally we were going for the last week of March but it falls on easter. We both decided on the year 2013 because it would give us plenty of time to plan and pay for all our expenses.

The meaning behind our date is $$$$$
We knew we wanted a Sunday on a holiday weekend to save money, and I love the warmer weather, so May 26th seemed perfect.
And it was just an added perk that it is 4 days before my 30th birthday, so I can still get married in my 20's (like I always envisioned) lol

Hi, welcome and congrats!
We picked the year 2013 so we would have plenty of time to save money and pay everything off slowly. I always knew I either wanted a spring or fall wedding. I quickly decided fall because less chance of rain and a bit cooler temps and Oct is 1 of my fav months. Plus FH and my anniversary is end of Oct so I figured we can make Oct our special month. We orginally wanted Sat the 5th because we got engaged June 5th so I thought it would be cute to keep the #5 but we saved so much $ by switching it 1 day to the 6th for a Sunday wedding. We got engaged in Vegas just b4 midnight so in NY is was already the 6th so I joke and say our engaged date is really the 6th lol

Well we choose march b/c im irish and i wanted an irish wedding...we were going to the 17th but b/c of leap year ( i hate it) it fell on a sunday so we said how about the 16th ..b/c it was close and its cheaper then getting married in April

congrats!! FH wanted a winter wedding bc our summers are hectic... plus it's much cheaper. Since we are doing, winter we made it significant by choosing our anniversary! 2012 was a friday, but too soon to save and I don't want to stress over wedding plans 2013 is a sunday.. plenty of time! so 7th anniversary it is

FH starting dating on March 18, 2008 so first we were going to do May 18, 2013. After getting prices we decided to switch to March and just went with the Sat. after our date, so March 23, 2013 it is.

FH and I both graduate May 19th and May 20th respectively. I always wanted to get married in June but will hopefully be starting a new job in the summer time so I figured for convenience it would be better sooner in June than later.
We've been together for a long time--so no rush. Just saving money and enjoying being engaged!

Hi. Congratulations and welcome! We have chosen March because it is cheaper and we would like to go on our honeymoon during spring break (I'm a teacher). At first I was thinking about a summer wedding, but FH said he didn't want to sweat on his wedding day. I bet he will be sweating in March anyway. LOL

I could not have said it better, except we had to go with April b/c FH mother and maternal side of the family live in Wisconsin, and with the snow they get we didnt think they would be able to make it into NY.
Ideally I would of loved to be a fall bride, the colors the crispness in the air, but truth be told I would marry FH in a cardboard box during a hurricane as long as I am his Mrs. afterwards, once i realized that the date was just a number. (i am such a dork)
We choose 2013 b/c we are p[aying ourselves and needed to save and pay it off slowly.
