Thanks for the info.
It looks like we owe taxes. Can we set up a payment plan. Exactly how does it work when you owe taxes?
I just want to cry. This marriage penalty is hitting us big time.

We both had a feeling we would owe b/c we kept hearing people talk about this marriage penalty and we both make pretty good money. I used to be glad about that.
We are just upset b/c we are in the process of buying a house and we would have to take money out of our savings to pay the tax.
This really ****s.
Well this really instills in us that we have to get a house b/c otherwise next year will be worst.

Neva, they can set you up with a payment plan. You will have to call them tho' I owed when I was in college and I had to pay them monthly. After you officially file your taxes that is when they will talk to you. I know it ****s....darn marriage tax

Neva, you have to file on time especially if you owe you do not want the interest growing. THeir interest on o/s amts is outrageous. I owed $90 and you would not believe how much I ended up owing when I finally called them to set up a payment plan

We did not even get our W2's yet Hubby files our taxes using Turbo Tax, he found me 1 extra dollar last year and I did not have to pay him

Hold on a minute the interest starts when? I mean we will file by April 15 but will they start the interest right away. I am so down today. I just really don't want to deal with this crap right now. I mean if we owed like a couple hundred dollars it would not be too bad but we are looking at a few grand.

Neva, no it will not show up on your credit report sweetie, only if you default will it show up on your credit report. It starts, if you do not file in a timely manner, but once you contact them it will start the wheels in motion. Chin up sweetie it will be ok. Check your FM
