Thanks. Here is a poem that I wrote for my Godmother.

To My Godmother
Through all the years while growing up,
It was nice to have you near;
A very sweet Godmother who
Is special, warm and dear.
And now's the time to offer thanks
For all that you have done,
To guide me and to help me be
The man I've become.
Because you've touched my spirit and
You've helped to mold my heart,
I'm glad you'll be there on the day
My married life will start.

I cant rhyme to sentences if I tried

You can use it if you would like. I wrote poems for each person (BP, parents, grandmother, etc.) involved with my wedding.

Thanks--I will see if I can find a way (dont ask me how)--LOL--to switch some words around.....the point of this poem is just what you wrote but I want to ask her to do a reading for us somewhere in it. LOL
