than just calling every store? I saw these few dresses on Mori Lee's site and on other sites but I have called about 10 of the stores an none of them have them
I can't find a contact for their HQ either..
Any suggestions?

Re: Is there an easier way to find a certain dress...
Check out preownedweddingdresses.com or craigslist. Honestly, it may sound weird, but I knew what I wanted my dress to look like and couldn't find it anywhere. I found someone who had a dress in which the description matched up perfectly. I went to try it on and it fit like a glove and was perfect. I got so many compliments on how gorgeous the dress was (and not those cheesy, just be nice comments either)

You can always post to the boards to find out if someone bought the same dress and where...

UGH!! Dress shopping can be sooo insane just because of this reason. Certain stores only carry certain designers and then they only have some dresses and in order to get a specific dress in they have to order it and charge YOU for it!!
I actually had to give up on a dress that I was trying to hunt down.
It gets real hard when you find 2 dresses you like that are just not in one store.... so you can't try them on back to back to see which you prefer.
Is there an email? I can't believe there's no contact for the HQ. Well no, I can... judging my the way some of these designers work.
Can any of the stores order it for you? You might have to pay a $50 to $75 charge for it.... which i think is absurd.... if the store carrys the designer then they should be able to get the dress in. I don't work in the industry so this is my perspective simply as a consumer! It might be worth it for you to pay the fee though.... just so you can try on the dress. For me I was looking for more than one dress.... so the price was going to really add up and that angered me!!!

I haven't even started going to wedding gown fittins but I am baffled as to why so many wedding dresses are discontinued. Seriously - its not like the style the dress was made for in 1995 or 2000 is that different from 2009! I am baffled by this. I just hope I can find a suitable dress in time for my wedding. I can't just buy something off the rack because of my weight and proroportions (bra size 38-B, jean size: 16/18) so I am really limited in my choices..This is extremely frustrating!

ITA, its such a pain in the rear to find a dress! I went to so many stores and emailed a dozen others.. FINALLY called the manu. and found one in the city.. went out there last week and tried it on.
If you can call the manu, have the dress# and know area codes and zip codes and ask them to check anywhere you're willing to go.
