Is there anyone out there who just doesnt want a bach party?

Call me insane...but I have 4 weeks till my wedding and im stressed, cus I have tons to do. I just called my girls and cancelled my bach party...I think its too much, the girls are all busy and I only have ONE weekend to choose from, plus its just crazy to be out in NYC till 6am....then the next day is a wash cus im going to have to sleep all day. I feel terrible though...I feel like they are so disapointed.

Did anyone else just do something simple? ahhh

I thought I was alone with this one- All I want to do is have a fun sleepover with my girlfriends. I want to rent movies, drink lots of booze, order in food, and just have a fun time with my friends.

Yes, Me and FH didnt want one, no bachelor party, no bachlort. party, thats just us, friends gave us a bit of a hard time, but hey we are the bride and groom, we have been there and done that, not interested in doing it at all and we didnt. Instead my now husband and I and a few friends went to a really cool restaurant and had a great time.

Wow...im feeling better already. I have been there and done that since I was 16!!! I had fun, been to clubs all over, and drank till I passed out lol I just dont feel excited about it. I want to relax....Im the first one to get married out of all my BM and moh...so I can see it being hard for them to understand.

Going out with a few couples sounds good to me...

I don't think that I want to have one either. I am so not into it. I would rather have an afternoon at a spa and then going out for a couple of drinks & a nice dinner.

aside from a group of girls going to Vegas, I am looking at it more as a girls trip away. I'm not really into the whole b-party thing. Just want to hang out by the pool and relax, go to dinner, etc.

ME!

FH and I BOTH insisted on NO BACH parties. What we did instead was a big day out TOGETHER with both our friends. We looooooove wine, so we went wine tasting out east for the day and then had a BBQ. It was so much fun and very relaxing.

You need to do what YOU want. If you don't want one, don't have one. Seriously, there is all this pressure surrounding weddings and things people think you 'must' do. Don't do what you don't want to do. A bach party isn't a huge deal - If you don't want one, don't have one.

It was very unimportant to me. We had a great day doing what we did because it was right for us.

Just make sure while you are running around crazy getting ready for the big day that you take time to relax in your own way. That's very important. Don't just live and breathe wedding 24/7 - do something fun to relax and get your mind off it for a while!

I was going to do something small, but at this point, I could care less so I am canceling it. I've been to my share of them.

I was torn. My friends were insisting but I really didn't want to. They didn't understand that I although in the past I have really wanted to party, I felt like that chapter was over. I still love to drink and have fun but not while wearing a fake veil and looking for a guy to eat lifesavers off my shirt! We ended up having a 'girls night in' and had a woman come to my house for a sex toy party. It was fun and a lot of laughs.

We are not having a bachelor or bachelorette party.

This past weekend, my MOH and her husband came up from Delaware. My MOH and I spent the day doing wedding-related stuff (florist, hair salon, etc). Then, the four of us (MOH, her husband, me, and my FH) went out for dinner.

In September, we are getting together with some of FH's college friends (including the BM) for dinner.

I don't want one.
Been there, done that. I'm 40 years old and am pretty much over the partying stage of my life.

Just want to do a nice dinner with some of my friends, some drinks afterwards.
I would like to do a spa day with my sis, just the two of us.

I wasn't fond of having one either! My BP insisted so we are compromising....I told them I didn't want to be at some sleezy club all night and would like to be able to include my mom & aunts and crap so they planned something low key for everyone!

I honestly didnt want one either. I had one....very low-key, dinner, drinks at a friends house, and then a sleepover, but it just wasnt my thing. My friends were a little disappointed that they couldnt do a passion party or go out to a club, but honestly....i just wasnt feeling it.

Its your day....if you dont want one, dont force it.
