Is There Anything...

on your wedding day you think you may look back on in 20 years and say 'why the heck did I do that?????' I was looking thru FMIL's wedding album and saw her bridal party in these really big hats that they wore the whole day. I asked her what she thinks about them now and she just laughed cause she knows how crazy they look now.

My mom had those hats too! LOL

I'm sure there will be something. Don't forget that at the time those hats were SO in

The 'sooo in' part is my point. I don't feel like I have anything thats super trendy so I'm hopeing this doesn't happen.

Probably just the amount of money I spend...although by then it might be considered pennies

I feel the same way, but think about it. Do you ever look at ANY wedding gown from a past decade and go 'ph how gorgeous! I would love to wear that'...probably not. Even my sister's hairstyle from her 2003 wedding looks sooooo dated to me although at the time I would have said it was classic

my mom 1st had the pastel rainbow bridal party with hats with a ribbon to match and her dress had the long lace sleeves and cinderalla shoulders and pregnant but she still insist her wedding would be beautiful if it happened today. seriously mom it was 1982 and you werent even 18 years old yet

I think that no matter how much we deny it, most of what we do for our weddings will not be in style 20 years from now, and we will probably have plenty of things to look back on and laugh. But thats the fun part when you're an old married lady

My mom had the hats as well! My dad wore aa white tux with white boots! O.M.G.

I tried to stay traditional so hopefully I won't have this problem. My grandma's picture look very elegant so there is hope!

Steve's dad wore all white and white boots too! He looked like Jesus cause he had long hair on top of it LOL. I die everytime I look at the pics.

My dad had a powder blue tux with a white frilley shirt underneath!! I wish I had some pics to show you!

It's so scary to think of!!! I told FH the other day that if we have any daughters we need to start a wedding fund before she is born.

And btw- my mom's BM's totally had those hats too!! & they were scarlett red!

my dad wore a white tux at my mother's insistance.

Oh God I really hope I don't regret anything!!!

I'll probably look back and say 'why didn't we elope?'



ETA- My mom wore a hat and had puffy sleeves anddd my dad wore a white tux and white shoes. HOT!
