Is there anything you could have done???
i feel bad when i read reviews from brides about their disappointment (anger, frustration, etc) in certain vendors. do you think there is anything you, personally, could have done to prevent vendor errors?
for me, there are only two vendors who i was unhappy with. one was an error on the vendor's part, and there really was nothing i could have done about that.
the other one - the one that truly caused me a lot of grief - was the place where i had my dress altered (extremely long waits, a seamstress who did a very poor job, and a stain they caused that they eventually got out). now that the wedding is over, i've thought about whether or not there was something - anything?? - i could have done to alleviate some of the stress that was caused. though i think as vendors, it's their responsibility to provide the services they get paid for, and don't think it should fall on me - the customer - ONE THING I WISH I HAD DONE WAS TRY ON MY DRESS AFTER THE FINAL FITTING. at the final fitting, the seamstress said that my dress still needed to be shortened. she pinned it up and told me it would be ready for my pick-up date. the day of my pick-up, i unzipped the bag, looked at the dress, but did not try it on. had i tried it on, i would have realized then and there that the lining was longer than the outer material of my dress (more about that when i do my review). but since i didn't try it on, i didn't know that until my wedding day.
thinking back, is there anything that you could have done to make a bad situation better?
