Re: Is there someone in your life..
Oh, I'm sorry this happened, try not to let it spoil your birthday. I know how you feel; I too have someone who misses my birthday. To makes matters worse, it's a member of my immediate family. I've gotten to the point that I don't allow it to get to me anymore. Yes, there have been a few years where they remembered but now it's going back to the same old, same old. I find it annoying, rude and completely inconsiderate. I always think about not acknowledging their birthday but I never actually go through with it.
Cheer up

Re: Is there someone in your life..
i dont know if it bothers me... i look at it as a suprise if someone does call to wish me a happy birthday... the only people that i would be upset with if they missed it would be FH, my mom and some other close family members...but whenever a friend calls it is like a special bonus...

Re: Is there someone in your life..
I may be in the minority but the only person I expect to remember my bday is the woman who gave birth to me and the man I share my bed with. Everyone else is incidental. I dont remember birthdays and I dont care if people dont remember mine.

Its just that I have very few close friends anymore and I kind of expect them to remember my b-day..all I want is a call no gift that its

Re: Is there someone in your life..
Kathleen it used to really bother me when close friends didn't remember. Yet I find myself forgetting my close friends' bdays sometimes as well & remembering the next day, like OMG! Although I do my best to remember and call or send a card.
I have a friend that every single year calls me on July 3 & July 5 b/c she cannot remember (which I find as cute).
I hope you didn't let this ruin your birthday. I'm sure she cares Kathleen....she'll probably be real upset when she realizes she missed it.

LOL, so sorry to hear this. Some people are just bad with dates. Dont take it to heart! Enjoy your special day with or without a phone call from that person!

Re: Is there someone in your life..
no, and i agree with leslie - if my parents, siblings or my fh forgot my b-day i'd be pissed.
some friends are just way too self-involved to see that forgetting a close friends b-day would upset them
