a hoop skirt that is not HUGE ????

I bought one that is way to big for my gown and I tried to move the hoops back in, that did not work and I am getting married in AUgust. I don't want to pass out from the heat.

Can you wear the dress without a hoop skirt and maybe just a crinolin slip?
